Simple Cashew Base

Cashews, cashews… What would I do without them? Hahaha! But seriously, cashews have been a staple in my kitchen since becoming vegan. From creamy alfredo to cheese dip, I can make many things with it.

Today I want to share with you a cashew base that I use to make cheese dip, alfredo, mac and “cheese”, dressing, and creamy soups. Then I just add ingredients to make it however I want.

Ingredients:

• 1 1/4 cups of Raw Unsalted Cashews

• 2 Garlic cloves

• 1 tsp of Salt (Or to taste)

• 1 cup of Water

Directions:

Place all ingredients in a powerful blender and mix until creamy. That’s it! If you do not have a strong blender you can soak the cashews in water for about two hours. Then drain and mix with the other ingredients.

Enjoy!
