I have been drinking green smoothies for breakfast for several days now following the challenge I’m doing. I must say that I am loving every morning. I never thought I would enjoy this so much!
I am getting some questions about about my smoothies but the number one question I’m getting is about hemp milk. Hemp milk has a light nutty flavor and is very easy to make.
The hemp seeds that I use are raw shelled hemp seeds.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup of hemp seeds
- 1 cup of water
- 4-6 pitted dates
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract (optional)
Directions:
Put the hemp seeds in a blender and ground. They are very soft and ground very easy. Add the cup of water and blend. Finally add the dates and blend on high speed until all is mixed in together. I usually put all 6 dates in mine. It all depends on how sweet you like it. You can also add more water for a lighter milk or use less water for a creamier milk. Use immediately or refrigerate in an airtight container for a couple of days.
Leche de Cáñamo
Ingredientes:
- 1/2 taza de semillas de cáñamo
- 1 taza de agua
- 4-6 dátiles sin semilla
- 1/2 cucharadita de extracto de vainilla (opcional)
Procedimiento:
Ponga a moler las semillas de cáñamo en una licuadora. Son muy suaves y muelen fácilmente. Agrega la taza de agua y mezcle. Finalmente añada los dátiles y mezcle a velocidad rápida. Usualmente uso 6 dátiles en mi leche. Todo depende de cuán dulce le guste. También puede usar más agua si le gusta la leche más ligera o menos agua si la desea más cremosa. Use inmediatamente o refrigérala en un recipiente hermético por un par de días.
